Metal Tiger Appoints Paul Johnson To Executive Director

27th Jan 2015 10:10

LONDON (Alliance News) - Metal Tiger PLC said Tuesday that it has moved Non-Executive Director Paul Johnson to an executive director position, to help identify, assess and manage its investments.

The natural resources investing company said its has established two investment divisions, direct project investments and direct equity investments.

In direct projects, the company is working on building its project investment base, including negotiations on gold exploration interests in Spain, working with Eurasia Mining PLC on new project development, joint ventures in Tanzania, and expanding its pipeline in Europe, Africa and South East Asia.

In direct equity, the company has made two material investments to date, one in Kibo Mining PLC and one in Eurasia Mining PLC, and said further investments are under review at present. It has also established a portfolio of investments in small AIM-listed natural resource companies.

"With carefully constructed direct project investment partnerships, both general, eg the Eurasia collaboration, and specific, such as the Kibo uranium joint venture, combined with shrewd direct equity investing, we believe there is an opportunity to build tremendous value for our shareholders in 2015," said Chief Executive Officer Cameron Parry in a statement.

Shares in Metal Tiger are trading down 9.0% at 0.705 pence Tuesday morning.
