LONDON (Alliance News) - Aviation services firm John Menzies PLC said on Thursday Mervyn Walker will be returning to its senior management team.
John Menzies did not specify what exact role Walker would take up, but said he will work with interim Chief Executive Giles Wilson to focus on "operational discipline, cost control, and productivity".
Walker has been working elsewhere for four years, the company said, having before that spent 14 years in a number of roles at John Menzies.
Wilson commented: "I am pleased that Mervyn is re-joining the group at this exciting time in Menzies' journey.
"His in-depth knowledge of the business combined with his operational expertise and focus on efficiency will help us to deliver on our short and medium term objectives."
Wilson is serving as interim CEO after the departure of Forsyth Black in March.
John Menzies shares were 2.2% higher on Thursday at 490.50 pence each.
