LONDON (Alliance News) - Merian Chrysalis Investment Co Ltd on Tuesday said it raised GBP100 million via placing of shares, which received a "strong response".
The company will issue 90.9 million shares at 110 pence each. Admission to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange is expected on Thursday, following which the firm will have 190.9 million shares in issue.
Merian Chrysalis shares were up 0.4% trading at 113.50p each.
"We are delighted by the level of demand from both existing and new investors. The Chrysalis proposition is resonating strongly with late-stage, private companies that are seeking new investors as they look to evolve their shareholder base, as evidenced by our ability to quickly deploy the initial Chrysalis launch proceeds," Co-fund manager Richard Watts said.
