LONDON (Alliance News) - Technology investor Mercia Technologies PLC on Tuesday said it has invested GBP1 million in Soccer Manager Ltd.
Soccer Manager is a Preston-based developer of online football management games and produces the Soccer Manager Worlds game.
The funds will be used to back the development of the Soccer Manager 2015 installment.
"The founders of Soccer Manager have been developing the business for the past nine years and are clearly passionate about two things: soccer and technology. We are delighted to be working with them as they move to the next stage of product development with their most recently launched title, Soccer Manager 2015," said Mercia Chief Executive Mark Payton.
Mercia Technologies shares were untraded Tuesday morning. The stock last traded at 58.08 pence.
