LONDON (Alliance News) - Investment firm Mercia Technologies PLC said Thursday it has invested a further GBP1.0 million in investee company Voxpopme Ltd.
Voxpopme is a Birmingham-based company which provides video analytics for clients such as Microsoft, Verizon, Accenture, and Tesco PLC, Mercia said. Mercia now has a stake of just over 12% in Voxpopme following the investment.
Mercia Chief Executive Mark Payton commented: "Having worked closely with Voxpopme, we have seen the business grow rapidly both in Europe and the US. We are pleased to continue to support Voxpopme as it joins our direct investment portfolio of 'Emerging Stars'.
"This is another example of the Mercia Model sourcing and scaling a high-quality technology business from the UK regions that we firmly believe will become a successful, valuable international businesses delivering meaningful shareholder returns over the medium term."
Mercia shares were down 2.5% on Thursday at 39.00 pence each.
