LONDON (Alliance News) - Mercia Technologies PLC on Tuesday said three of the direct investments within its Digital & Digital Entertainment portfolio are achieving high levels of consumer engagement and commercial interest.
The early-stage investor said said one of its investments, a free-to-play, games-as-a-service business called Edge Case Games launched its PC-based tactical space combat game Fractured Space on September 2. In the first two weeks, the game achieved more than 200,000 installations and was generating revenue ahead of target, Mercia said.
Meanwhile, another of its investments, videogames developer and publisher nDreams, will release its first major game, called The Assembley, on Playstation VR on Thursday. nDreams has also announced the planned publication of a launch title for Google virtual reality platform Daydream, to be called Danger Goat.
Mercia also gave an update on the online football management game developer Soccer Manager, in which it has also invested. Soccer Manager 2017 was launched on September 12, while the company has also begun development of an app, Soccer Manager Arena, which is currently in Beta testing mode.
"Mercia's Digital & Digital Entertainment portfolio is growing at a very impressive rate," Investment Director and Head of Digital & Digital Entertainment Mike Hayes said.
Shares in Mercia were untraded on Tuesday, having last traded at 49.00 pence.
