Meggitt's Training Unit Wins USD31.7 Million US Marine Corps Deal

13th Jan 2015 07:14

LONDON (Alliance News) - Meggitt PLC Tuesday said its training systems business has won a USD31.7 million contract to provide indoor simulated marksmanship training systems from the US Marine Corps.

In a statement, the aerospace, defence and energy market engineer said the five-year indefinite quantity deal covers the design, development, installation and support for some 670 systems and weapon simulators at US Marine Corps facilities in the US and abroad.

"Following our USD99 million small arms trainer award for the US Army announced in 2014, this second major contract reinforces our product's system-of-record status," Meggitt Chief Executive Stephen Young said.
