LONDON (Alliance News) - Aerospace and defence company Meggitt PLC said Tuesday that Caroline Silver will join the board as non-executive director on April 25.
Silver - a chartered accountant - will join the board's audit, remuneration and nominations committees. She serves as senior managing director at investment bank Moelis & Co, where she specialises in financial institutions and fintech advisory and capital raising.
Silver also is non-executive chairman of FTSE 250 consumer products group PZ Cussons PLC, a role that she has held since January 2017.
Meggitt on Monday said it has secured a USD750 million contract to continue supply engine components for US military F-22 Raptor and F-35 fighter jets.
The company has signed a 10-year agreement with US-based aircraft engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney to continue the supply of advanced composite components for the F119 and F135 engines which power the F-22 Raptor and F-35 aircraft. Pratt & Whitney is a unit of United Technologies Corp.
Shares in Meggitt were up 0.8% at 510.80 pence each midday Tuesday.
