8th Jul 2014 11:10

LONDON (Alliance News) - MedicX Fund Ltd said it has agreed to acquire, by way of a forward funding agreement, a new primary healthcare medical centre in Plymouth for GBP2.7 million.

The property is being purchased under a framework agreement with General Practice Investment Corporation which was agreed in May 2013.

MedicX said the property will be let to a GP practice and a pharmacy that will both take 20-year leases from practical completion, subject to three-yearly rent reviews.

The MedicX Fund's total property portfolio now comprises 133 properties throughout the UK of which 127 are operational and fully let, with six under construction. The annualised rent roll for all properties is now GBP31.7 million.

MedicX Fund shares were quoted down 0.2% at 83.05 pence Tuesday morning.
