LONDON (Alliance News) - McColl's Retail Group on Thursday said it is commencing the search for a new chief executive after current CEO James Lancaster announced he was stepping down from the role in 2014.
Lancaster will remain in the post until a replacement is found and is also taking over as non-executive chairman until the company's annual general meeting in April 2017.
"The appointment of a new CEO and James as non-executive chairman will deliver an orderly succession. James has been instrumental in the growth of McColl's so far and I have no doubt that given his knowledge of the food retailing sector and the business, he will continue to make a valuable contribution," Interim Chairman Sharon Brown said in a statement.
