McBride Appoints John Coleman Chairman-Elect, Napier To Retire

22nd Apr 2016 11:14

LONDON (Alliance News) - Household and personal care products company McBride PLC on Friday appointed John Coleman to the position of chairman elect, after having announced in February the retirement of Ian Napier.

McBride said Coleman will work closely with Napier over the coming months "to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities". Coleman will formally succeed as chairman on July 1.

Coleman is currently the chairman of Bonmarche Holdings PLC and privately-owned home care service provider Barchester Healthcare Ltd.

McBride said Coleman has "had significant executive experience in the retail sector", having been chief executive of House of Fraser until 2006 and chief executive of Texas Homecare, part of Ladbrokes PLC, before.

Shares in McBride were flat at 160.00 pence on Friday.
