(Alliance News) - McBride PLC said on Friday it appointed Ludwig de Mot as chief executive officer with effect on November 1.
The household goods firm also announced that Chair John Coleman will step down from his role after three years in the role since 2016.
De Mot will be replacing Rik de Vos, who stepped down in July after four years in the role since 2015.
De Mot will be joining from steel group ArcelorMittal SA, where he is president and chief executive officer for its Canadian mining operations. Prior to that, he was part of minerals and lime producer Lhoist Group for 13 years from 2006 to 2019, leaving as chief executive officer for Europe & Asia.
"The board is delighted to welcome Ludwig to McBride. His commercial and operational expertise will be highly complementary to our team and he brings a wealth of international experience in manufacturing and selling in many different geographies," Coleman said.
Shares in McBride were 1.3% at 54.6 pence on Friday in London.
