(Alliance News) - MC Mining Ltd on Friday said Non-Executive Director Sam Randazzo will step in as interim chief executive as acting CEO Brenda Berlin steps down on Monday.
The Australian-based producer of thermal and coking coal focused on South Africa said Randazzo has over 25 years' experience in the mining industry and has completed numerous capital-raisings.
Randazzo has extensive public company exposure as well as operational management experience across a variety of projects in Africa and the rest of the globe, the company added.
MC Mining said that its search for a CEO is in "advanced" stages and shareholders can expect an update soon.
MC Mining shares were down 0.6% at ZAR15.9 each in Johannesburg on Friday afternoon. The stock was untraded in London on Friday.
