(Alliance News) - MC Mining Ltd said Tuesday Non-Executive Director Peter Cordin has retired from his role with immediate effect.
Cordin has been part of the coal miner for 22 years since 1997.
"On behalf of the board and shareholders, I would like to thank Peter for his enduring commitment and contribution to MC Mining over the many years. Peter provided wise counsel as the company transformed from an exploration entity to a mining business with significant hard coking coal resources and we wish him well in his retirement," said Chief Executive David Brown.
Shares in MC Mining were 25% higher at ZAR5.99 on Tuesday in Johannesburg, while its London shares were down 6.7% at 28.00 pence.
