(Alliance News) -Â MC Mining Ltd said Chief Executive David Brown will step down, effective Friday.
Brown was appointed CEO in 2014 after serving as executive chair. He will continue to be available until March 31 to enable a smooth handover.
Brenda Berlin, the company's chief financial officer, will serve as acting CEO with a focus on securing the required funding for the development of its flagship Makhado hard coking coal project.
Shares in MC Mining were down 0.9% at 27.25 pence in London on Friday, and in Johannesburg the stock was down 1.9% at ZAR5.20.
