LONDON (Alliance News) - Matchtech Group PLC Friday said it has appointed Brian Wilkinson as executive chairman with effect from December 2, replacing founder and current Non-Executive Chairman George Materna.
The founder will become the company's non-executive deputy chairman, the recruitment company said in a statement.
Wilkinson, 57, has been a board member at recruitment giant Randstad, leading restructuring of some of the Dutch company's divisions, including the UK unit.
"There is clearly good existing momentum within Matchtech Group, but the board and the executive team share an ambitious plan to build a significantly larger and more profitable group," Materna said in a statement.
"I am therefore certain that now is the right time to bring in someone with the external perspective and international experience that Brian has developed over his career, including within one of the world's largest recruitment firms," he added.
The company's shares were down 2.8% at 431.25 pence Friday morning.
