(Alliance News) - Marwyn Value Investors Ltd on Friday announced the appointments of both Victoria Webster and Peter Rioda as independent non-executive directors, effective immediately.
The new appointments come after the resignations of Independent Non-Executive Director Ronald Hobbs and Non-Executive Director Louisa Bonney, also with immediate effect.
Webster qualified with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and specialises in the audit of alternative investment funds. She is also the director of Cleland & Co, an independent chartered accountancy practice.
Rioda has over 25 years of experience as a chartered accountant and specialises in the establishment and management of alternative investment funds.
Martin Adams was also appointed to the board as senior independent director.
All these changes have resulted three quarters of the board being independent non-executive directors as well as being considered independent of the manager.
Marwyn Value Investors Chair Robert Ware said: "These changes in directors result in a majority of the board now being independent; Martin Adams being appointed senior independent director and Victoria being appointed as chair of the company's audit committee."
Marwyn Value Investors shares were down 1.0% at 103.00 pence each on Friday afternoon in London.
