LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 250-listed pub operator and brewer Marston's PLC on Tuesday said its trading has been encouraging thus far in its current financial year, with a solid Christmas and New Year period.
The company's Destination and Premium restaurant outlets saw like-for-like sales grow 3.0% over the 16 weeks to January 23, with food sales up 2.5% and drink sales rising 3.4%. The group's Brewing business, its own-brand beers, performed well over the period, with volumes rising 21%, underpinned by a strong performance in the off-trade market.
Marston's will publish its interim results for the 26 weeks to April 2 on May 18.
