LONDON (Alliance News) - Marks & Spencer Group PLC on Wednesday said that its Customer & Marketing Director Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne stepped down immediately and will leave the business at the end of May.
This was after the corporate marketing teams were devolved into the Clothing & Home and Food businesses following the reorganisation procedures.
The clothing and homewares retailer, said that a central plan of this first stage transformation programme is to move towards a more commercial M&S built around a family of accountable businesses, each with its own leadership.
"Patrick has overseen some extraordinary marketing programmes for M&S corporately and made great strides in laying the foundations of our digital business as well as extending our Plan A credentials," said Chief Executive Steve Rowe.
"He brought great brand marketing skills and creativity to the business. We thank him for his contribution and wish him well for the future," Rowe added.
Shares in Marks & Spencer were trading 0.3% lower at 280.09 pence per share on Wednesday afternoon.
