LONDON (Alliance News) - Mariana Resources Ltd on Thursday said drilling is set to start at the Dona Ines gold-silver and adjacent Exploradora East copper prospects in northern Chile in April.
The initial drilling will be part of the phase 1 work commitment for the project under the option agreement between Mariana and partner Asset Chile Exploracion Minera Fondo de Inversion Privado.
"Whilst Hot Maden is in development, Mariana continues work on its highly prospective exploration portfolio to assess the potential for scalable and economic mineralisation," said Chief Executive Glen Parsons, referring to Mariana's gold and copper project in Turkey.
Parsons said the drill programme for Dona Ines and Exploradora will seek to confirm the potential for a high sulphidation gold-silver deposit.
Mariana shares were up 1.0% to 1.97 pence Thursday.
