Mariana Resources Updates 3D Mineralisation Model For Hot Maden

15th Jun 2015 08:47

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mariana Resources PLC Monday said it has updated the preliminary 3D mineralisation model in animated form, following the high-grade gold-copper drill results it got from the ongoing 10,000 metre drill programme at the Hot Maden project in Turkey.

The 3D model incorporates all seven holes to date drilled by joint ventuire partner Lidya Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS.

Mariana said assay results from hole HTD-10 confirm the continuity of the gold-copper mineralised zone between the original two scissored discovery holes HTD-04 and HTD-05, whilst hole HTD-11 extends the zone to the south to a current total length of 225 metres in a north-south orientation.

Mineralisation zones logged in Holes 12-14, where assays are pending, have been incorporated into the model and include "significant intervals of pyrite-chalcopyrite mineralisation" intersected in drill holes HTD-12 - 55 metres with sulphides from 220 metres downhole - and HTD-13 - 114 metres with sulphides from 256 metres downhole - which confirm the continuity of the gold-copper mineralisation up and down dip in their respective cross sections, according to Mariana.

It added that the 3D animation indicates the gold-copper mineralisation at Hot Maden currently remains open both up and down dip of HTD 5 and 13, 10 and 15 and 11 and 12 as well as importantly to the south of HTD13. It also shows the continuity of the high grade gold and copper zone.

"I am pleased to highlight the new 3D animated mineralisation model for Hot Maden depicting the Au-Cu body, the continuous high grade core and the surrounding Zn halo. The model will be updated as drilling proceeds but it is already indicating not only the resource potential but also guiding the search for extensions. With assays pending and mineralisation being open in several

directions, the ability to expand this model is apparent and we look forward to further updates," said Mariana Chief Executive Glen Parsons.

Mariana Resources shares were down 0.1% at 2.17 pence Monday morning.
