LONDON (Alliance News) - Mariana Resources Ltd on Tuesday said its joint venture partner on the Hot Maden gold and copper project in Turkey has completed drilling on the first four holes.
Mariana said the drilling results from Lidya Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS indicated strike extensions to the two discovery holes at the site to the south of the existing prospect and confirmed the continuity of the gold and copper zone.
"The extensions of the mineralized zone, indicated so far, are very encouraging, and the joint venture will continue to pursue this with further drilling," said Mariana Chief Executive Glen Parsons.
Shares in Mariana were down 0.4% to 2.54 pence on Tuesday morning.
