LONDON (Alliance News) - Mariana Resources Ltd on Thursday said it has received encouraging extension drilling results from the Hot Maden copper-gold project in Turkey and also has made progress on the rest of its exploration portfolio.
Mariana said the resource extension drilling carried out at Hot Maden delivered gold grades of up to 5.8 grams per tonne, along with copper grades of up to 0.7%. Mariana said the results were "highly encouraging" and suggest the high-grade mineralisation previously found at the project could form part of a new mineralised target.
Elsewhere, Mariana said data acquisition has started at the Doña Ines gold silver project in northern Chile, while exploration activities are progressing at the Nassau gold project in Suriname.
The company is also maintaining a low-cost exploration programme at the Los Cisnes and Las Calandrias prospects and is doing the same at its project in Peru.
Shares in Mariana were flat at 1.80 pence on Thursday.
