Mariana Gets Further Gold And Copper Intercepts From Hot Maden

6th Oct 2015 08:35

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mariana Resources Ltd on Tuesday said it has received further high-grade gold-copper intercepts from the Hot Maden project in Turkey.

The HTD-25 drill hole at the project intersected gold grades of up to 7.3 grams per tonne and 0.6% copper, Mariana said. The HTD23 and HTD26 holes also intersected significant zinc mineralisation, which may be proximal to gold-copper mineralisation.

"Encouragingly, as each new hole in the gold-copper zone delivers further continuity and grade, the size of the Hot Maden initial mineral resource continues to expand. We now have four new mineralised holes outside of the initial resource area comparable to those that fall within the resource, which is very exciting from a resource growth perspective," said Glen Parsons, Mariana's chief executive.

Shares in Mariana were up 3.9% to 2.13 pence on Tuesday.
