(Alliance News) - London-based Maestrano Group PLC on Monday said its subsidiary Cordel Inc has formed a partnership with US rail inspection company Holland LP.
Maestrano provides an artificial intelligence platform for transport corridor analytics. Holland provides geometry, rail wear, and track strength testing services for over 120 freight, transit, short line, and other customers in North America.
The AIM-listed company said the partnership will increase Cordel's market reach in North America, and its exposure to potential new customers.
The partnership means a number of Holland track inspection vehicles will carry Cordel hardware for contracted services. The Cordel Web Viewer will enable Holland's customers to conduct virtual site visits, making centimeter-accurate measurements, without the need to deploy staff to the field.
"In addition to exposing our technology to an even greater number of US customers, working with Holland validates our partnership program as a core growth strategy," Maestrano Chief Executive Nick Smith said.
"Beyond the sales relationship, we aim to build a partnership focused on innovation and mutual benefit as we look towards a future of fully automated rail inspections across the US," Smith added.
Maestrano shares were trading 9.6% higher in London on Monday at 14.80 pence each.
