(Alliance News) - Maestrano Group PLC said Friday Chief Financial Officer Craig Holden will resign from the data analytics firm next Friday to take up a new position in Australia.
The firm explained that "existing senior finance" staff would manage the finances of the firm until a new permanent finance chief is hired.
Maestrano added that it was continuing to undertake the due diligence for its proposed acquisition of an unnamed firm first announced in July. It also continued to look at other mergers & acquisitions activity.
"We are making good progress with M&A discussions and the opportunity announced on 15 July remains our primary focus," Maestrano Chief Executive Officer Andrew Pearson said. "We are taking great care with due diligence and shareholders would expect and believe it is prudent to allow adequate time to complete the various tasks."
"We are sorry to say farewell to Craig and thank him for his considerable efforts for the company," Pearson added. "He has been considering this move for some time and we have adequate resources in place to fulfill all reporting and management obligations."
Shares in Maestrano closed 28% higher at 2.69 pence in London on Friday.
