LONDON (Alliance News) - M P Evans Group PLC said Thursday that its oil-palm plantation and mill at its project in Kalimantan, Indonesia, received official accreditation from the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil.
As a result, crude palm oil produced by the mill can be certified as having come from a sustainable source. Following this certification, its majority-owned palm-oil mills in Sumatra and Kalimantan, and the two mills owned by associated company Agro Muko PT, all are certified.
The Roundtable was established in 2004 to promote the growth and use of sustainable palm oil products.
Shares in M P Evans were trading down 4.0% at 451.00 pence Thursday morning.
