M&C Saatchi Sees Good Start To 2014 On New Client Wins

LONDON (Alliance News) - M&C Saatchi PLC said that it has seen a good start to 2014 with new business wins and is trading in line with expectations, in a statement ahead of its annual general meeting Wednesday.

The advertising and marketing company said that its direct marketing shop LIDA continued to win news business, securing Tata Motors Ltd's Land Rover dealership brand, Odeon UCI Cinemas Group and the Alzheimer's Charity. LIDA also has opened offices in Australia and Sweden.

In the UK the company snagged Dutch hot drinks company Douwe Egberts as a client. Its sports and entertainment segment won business with British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC's betting subsidiary Sky Bet, and M&C Saatchi's PR arm won business with Foot Locker Retail Inc and Lastminute.com.

Outside of the UK, M&C Saatchi's Australian operations won International Consolidated Airlines Group, Toyota Motor Corp's luxury car brand Lexus and community policing initiative Crimestoppers.

In France, the business picked up BMW AG's Mini brand, McCain Foods Ltd and Warner Brothers Entertainment Inc. In Japan the company won business with electronics giant Sony Corp.

M&C Saatchi's newest office, Stockholm, won a deal with Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA.

Shares in M&C Saatchi were trading up 2.0% at 255.00 pence Wednesday morning.
