(Alliance News) - Love Hemp Group PLC on Friday said it has made a number of board changes effective immediately as part of its ongoing internal review.
The London-based supplier of cannabidiols and wellness products has eliminated the role of executive chair, which is currently held by Andrew Male. Male will take up a new role as a non-executive director.
Meanwhile, Independent Non-Executive Director Graham Mullis has been promoted to non-executive chair.
Further, Garry Cook, who joined the board back in February, has resigned. In his place, Anthony Dyer will chair the Audit Committee. Dyer is an experienced Euronext and AIM-listed chief financial officer, Love Hemp said.
Love Hemp also said that its senior management team has been "strengthened" with the appointment of an interim managing director.
The company continues a search for a third independent non-executive director as well as a permanent chief financial officer, it added.
Commenting on the board changes, Mullis said: "I am excited by the opportunity that exists for Love Hemp and pleased to accept this appointment. These board and management changes will help the company move forward and maximise its opportunities. Our initial goals are to satisfy the requirements for the AQSE Growth Market and to continue to strengthen the performance and structure of the company."
Back in May, shares in Love Hemp were suspended following the resignation of its AQSE corporate adviser.
The company said that it has "commenced discussions" with a proposed new corporate adviser so that the suspension on its shares can be lifted.
