LONDON (Alliance News) - Lonmin PLC on Tuesday said its chief operating offer has stepped down for personal reasons.
Johan Viljoen has resigned from his role with immediate effect. Ben Moolman, the head of the business support office at the FTSE 250-listed miner, will become acting COO.
"Ben Moolman is ideally placed to continue the execution of our operational strategy and strategic initiatives, having been intimately involved with the strategy and its implementation as a member of the Lonmin Exco," said Lonmin Chief Executive Ben Magara.
