Longtime Trifast Board Member Geoffrey Budd To Step Down

LONDON (Alliance News) - Trifast PLC, a manufacturer and distributor of mechanical fasteners, said Thursday that Geoffrey Budd, commercial director and European managing director, will step down from the board.

Budd has served Trifast for 42 years and will remain working with the operational team with responsibilities for the commercial and technical aspects of the business in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Chairman Malcolm Diamond said: "I would personally like to thank Geoff for his wise counsel and camaraderie over the years through both challenging and exciting times; together we have seen both the business and its people flourish. As a company we are also delighted that Geoff has chosen to remain in an operational mentoring capacity with us; he has extensive knowledge of the industry which is invaluable to pass down to the next generation of leaders within the business. "

Shares in Trifast were trading down 0.2% at 256.05 pence each Thursday midday.
