Bate - a non-executive since 2005 - will retire after its annual general meeting on April 26. He will remain associated with the company on an advisory basis, however.
"I am sorry that Dennis will be leaving the board of Synectics," Chairman David Coghlan said. "He has consistently provided us with wise and experienced counsel, and has on numerous occasions contributed value to the company through his wide range of contacts, mentoring of our senior managers and understanding of the needs of prospective Synectics' customers in his sector of expertise."
"I am pleased that, although stepping down from his responsibilities as a director, Dennis has agreed to continue his association with Synectics in a less formal advisory capacity as we continue to grow the company's business in infrastructure security", Coghlan added.
