(Alliance News) -Â The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.
----------
SMALL-CAP WINNERS
----------
Kier Group, up 11% at 83.50 pence. The construction, services and property firm said it performed "well" in the first half, and expects its half-year results to be "slightly above" internal expectations. "There was an improvement in site productivity through the period despite Covid-19 restrictions," Kier said.
----------
Henry Boot, up 6.1% at 274.90p. The Sheffield-based construction company said it ended 2020 "materially ahead" of the board's revised expectations and its financial position remains strong. Despite the pandemic, Henry Boot saw a "steady increase" in activity as the year progressed, resulting in an outcome ahead of revised expectations, and noted that the government has confirmed that construction and housebuilding activities should continue during the latest lockdown.
----------
SMALL-CAP LOSERS
----------
Superdry, down 12% at 210.20p. The clothing retailer declared no dividend for the first half of its financial year, as its interim loss widened and revenue declined on Covid-19-related disruption. For the 26 weeks ended October 24, Superdry reported a pretax loss of GBP18.9 million, widened from GBP4.2 million the same period the year before, and trading has continued to be tough in the third quarter to date due to further lockdowns.
