LONDON (Alliance News) - London Metals Exchange said Friday it has appointed Gay Huey Evans as its new chair, making her the first woman to chair the metals trading exchange.

Evans will succeed Brian Bender at the exchange when he retires in December 2019. The London Metals Exchange is a unit of Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd.
