LONDON (Alliance News) - Lombard Risk Management PLC on Friday said it has hired a Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC banker as its new chief executive.

Lombard Risk, which provides software to financial institutions to help with their regulatory and compliance requirements, named Alastair Brown as its new boss.

Brown, due to start in the role from December 1, will report to Philip Crawford, who will relinquish his executive responsibilities and return to the role of non-executive chairman from April 1, 2016.

"Alastair joins from Royal Bank of Scotland where he worked for 15 years in a variety of technology leadership roles in Global Banking and Markets, Chief Information Officer of International Banking and most recently Head of eChannels, Global Transaction Services. Alastair began his career in technology management at NatWest Markets," Lombard Risk said.

RBS was not immediately available for comment.

Shares in Lombard were untraded on Friday, having last traded at 11.90 pence.
