Lok'nStore Group To Build New Centre On Bristol Retail Park

6th Jan 2014 07:31

LONDON (Alliance News) - Self-storage company Lok'nStore Group PLC Monday said it will spend about GBP4 million building a new store on a retail park in Bristol after acquiring a site at Longwell Green.

In a statement, the AIM-listed company said the site it has bought is about 0.9 acres and has planning permission for a 50,000 square foot self-storage centre.

When it opens, it will take Lok'nStore's total operating centres to 26 following the recent opening of the new Maidenhead store and the opening of the Reading, Southampton and Aldershot stores in the coming year.

"This is a key part of our strategy and adds a further site to our store development programme. The news comes at an exciting time for Lok'nStore as we are currently in an expansion phase building out our existing site pipeline, and this adds a further site to our portfolio," Chief Executive Andrew Jacobs said.
