LONDON (Alliance News) - LMS Capital PLC said Tuesday that its third quarter net asset value per share dropped as its investment portfolio showed a net unrealised loss.
For the three months to September 30, the company's net asset value per share fell to 78.1 pence from 79p at June 30.
Net asset value came in at GBP63.1 million from GBP63.8 million.
The drop was mainly on the back of a net unrealised loss of GBP400,000 recorded by the company's investment portfolio.
"The loss was due principally to changes in the prices of quoted securities," the company explained.
Since the end of September, further movements in the prices of the company's quoted investments and changes in the sterling/US dollar exchange rate have not had a significant impact on the Company's NAV, LMS added.
LMS shares were trading down 1.6% Tuesday at 48.45 pence each.
