LONDON (Alliance News) - LiDCO Group PLC Tuesday said a recent study published in the Journal of American Medical Association found that perioperative hemodynamic intervention is associated with a reduced complication rate and length of stay in hospital after surgery.
A test was conducted in 17 acute NHS hospitals to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of a peri-operative hemodynamic therapy algorithm on high-risk patients undergoing major gastrointestinal surgery.
LiDCO's LiDCOrapid monitor was the cardiac output monitoring system used in the trial.
LiDCO shares were quoted down 2.5% at 19.75 pence Tuesday.
