LiDCO Group Monitors Link With NantHealth's Software System

21st May 2014 11:48

LONDON (Alliance News) - LiDCO Group PLC said Wednesday said US-based NantHealth has successfully completed development of a proprietary communications link between LiDCO monitors and its own DeviceConX system.

NantHealth's DeviceConX is a software solution that collects and transmits data from medical devices into an Electronic Medical Record or Customer Information Systems.

The AIM-listed cardiovascular monitoring company said NantHealth's software has been developed in accordance with the FDAs quality system regulation controls. The link will allow NantHealth's customers to access data from LiDCO's proprietary, minimally-invasive hemodynamic monitor via DeviceConX, it said.

Integrating the critical care parameters with LiDCO data will provide a fuller picture of a patient's condition and history to be displayed and accessed via DeviceConX interfaces throughout a hospital, said LiDCO.

"With technology use rising in hospitals, it becomes increasingly important for different systems and equipment to communicate with each other in order to help make informed decisions about patient care. The communication link for LiDCO's monitors and NantHealth's DeviceConX, will give users another platform from which to access and analyse data, enhancing the utility of LiDCO's monitoring platforms for both our existing and NantHealth's future customers," said Dr. Terry O'Brien, LiDCO's Chief Executive.

Shares in the company were trading 1.25% lower at 19.75 pence per share Wednesday afternoon.
