LONDON (Alliance News) - Leni Gas & Oil PLC Monday said it had successfully started the first new development well at its Goudron field in Trinidad and was now pressing ahead with drilling.
In a statement, the company said the well has been officially designated as GY-664.
Last week, the company said it had raised GBP1.4 million in a share placing, ensuring it had enough money to fund the next expansion of the Goudron field. The previous week, it got approval to start drilling at the Goudron field and started moving its drilling rig in preparation.
Leni Gas & Oil shares were down 0.8% at 0.9625 pence early Monday.
