LONDON (Alliance News) - Leni Gas & Oil PLC Monday said that Well Services Petroleum Co Ltd's drill rig 20 is now scheduled to mobilise to the Goudron Field in Trinidad on or around April 15.
The exploration and development oil and gas company, with operations in Spain and Trinidad, said once on site the rig will drill the first well of a 30 well development programme, which will be drilled to a total depth of 4,000 feet and is targeted to intersect productive sandstones.
The company said all essential in-field facilities are now complete in order to receive the rig and Leni Gas & Oil will provide an update once the well has gone into test production.
Leni Gas & Oil said the 30-well re-development programme is designed to access the existing seven million barrels of proven and probable reserves on site to assist in the design of a secondary recovery system to access some of the estimated 60 million barrels of contingent resources at the field.
Leni Gas & Oil shares were down 2.2%, trading at 0.807 pence Monday.
