Lekoil Raises USD46.0 Million To Back Nigeria Acquisition (ALLISS)

28th Oct 2015 09:48

LONDON (Alliance News) - Africa-focused oil and gas company Lekoil Ltd on Wednesday said it has raised USD46.0 million via a share placing agreement with Mirabaud Securities LLP and BMO Capital Markets.

The company said it has issued 125.2 million shares at 24.00 pence per share to raise the funding. Lekoil shares were down 0.2% to 24.95 pence on Wednesday.

The placing had been flagged by Lekoil late on Tuesday.

The funds raised will be used in part to back the acquisition of an indirect controlling interest in the OPL 325 block, offshore Nigeria.
