LONDON (Alliance News) - Leeds Group PLC posted a broadly flat pretax profit for the year to the end of May on Thursday, as revenue ticked slightly higher but the group was hit by the weakness of the euro.
The company, which operates the Hemmers fabric company, said its pretax profit in the year was GBP1.6 million, broadly flat year-on-year, as its revenue rose to GBP34.9 million from GBP34.2 million.
Leeds took a heavy hit from the weak euro against the US dollar in the year and has been taking steps to try and mitigate this impact via forward exchange contracts.
The company said it will not pay a dividend for the year.
Shares in Leeds were untraded Thursday, having last traded at 36.50 pence.
