LONDON (Alliance News) - Leeds Group PLC said Monday that pretax profit for the year ending May 31 is anticipated to be below expectations due to "difficult market conditions".
Leeds' trading performance in the first half of the year was "disappointing" but the textile company believed the "underlying trading result for the full year would be better than last year".
However, the second half of the year has been "below expectation" and the company is revising its full year expectations. The company did not disclose its revised expectations.
Shares in Leeds closed down 2.7% at 29.20 pence each.
