LONDON (Alliance News) - Lansdowne Oil & Gas PLC on Wednesday said drilling has started at the Midleton prospect in the Celtic Sea, offshore Ireland.
The oil and gas explorer said the operator of the licence, PSE Seven Heads Ltd, has started drilling work on the licence.
Lansdowe owns a 20% stake in the prospect.
"We are delighted that Kinsale Energy has moved forward to drill the Midleton exploration well this year and we look forward to updating the market once the results are known," said Lansdowne Chief Executive Steve Boldy.
Shares in Lansdowne were down 1.5% to 8.00502 pence.
