Land Securities New CEO Start Date Delayed Due To Covid-19 Disruption

20th Mar 2020 15:11

(Alliance News) - Land Securities Group PLC said Friday newly-appointed Chief Executive Mark Allan's start date has been pushed back due to disruptions caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.

Allan will now start on April 14 and not May 1, as previously planned.

The property company announced Allan's hire in late November, poaching him from St Modwen Properties PLC.

He replaces incumbent Robert Noel, who will retire next year after spending ten years with the firm.

Noel is stepping down from his role on March 31, but Landsec said he remains available to the company until June 10.

In the meantime, current Chief Financial Officer Martin Greenslade will act as interim CEO from April 1 to April 13.

"The reason for the change is that Allan's personal plans for his time between roles have been disrupted by Covid-19," Landsec said.

Shares in Land Securities were 0.2% higher in London on Friday afternoon at 608.60 pence each.
