LONDON (Alliance News) - Lancashire Holdings Ltd Tuesday said it has given its newly appointed group underwriting chief additional responsibilities, also making him the Chief Executive of its London operation, Lancashire Insurance Company (UK) Ltd.
In a statement, Lancashire said Paul Gregory, who had been the chief underwriting officer of Lancashire Insurance Company (UK) Ltd until his promotion last month, will be joined on the London operation's board by Hayley Johnston, who takes on his previous role.
Johnston's promotion follows a period of almost seven years on the underwriting team, three of which were spent as deputy chief underwriting officer of the company's London operation.
The appointments come after significant executive changes were made at the top of the insurer's hierarchy after their unveiling in the middle of April, when Lancashire informed the market of the intention of its former chief executive, Richard Brindle, to retire at the end of that month.
Lancashire's former group chief underwriting officer, Alex Maloney was announced as Brindle's successor, paving the way for Paul Gregory's promotion.
Maloney had also been the chief executive of the London operation.
Lancashire shares were Tuesday quoted at 671.00 pence, down 1.4%.
