LONDON (Alliance News) - Lancashire Holdings Ltd Wednesday said its founder and Chief Executive, Richard Brindle, is to retire at the specialty insurer and reinsurer's annual general meeting at the end of April, with Chief Underwriting Officer Alex Maloney to succeed him.
In a statement, the incoming Chief Executive said Lancashire has had a "good start" to 2014, adding that underwriting house Cathedral, which was acquired in 2013 from Alchemy Partners and Cathedral management for GBP266.0 million
Lancashire said Paul Gregory, the current chief underwriting officer of its UK operating subsidiary, Lancashire Insurance Company (UK) Ltd, will succeed Maloney as the group's underwriting chief.
Maloney is also the Chief Executive of Lancashire Insurance Company (UK) but the company did not disclose plans for that role.
Lancashire shares were Wednesday quoted at 680.00 pence, down 3.1%.
