Lamprell Kicks Off Hunt For Finance Boss As Curin Steps Down

17th Oct 2014 08:07

LONDON (Alliance News) - Lamprell PLC, which provides fabrication, engineering and contracting services to the onshore and offshore oil & gas and renewable energy industries, Friday said that Chief Financial Officer Joanne Curin has decided to stand down after just over a year in the role.

In a statement, Lamprell said it will immediately begin a search for Curin's successor. During the search, Tony Wright, current vice president finance, will serve as deputy chief financial officer.

Lamprell said that Curin guided the business through a key period, during which she presided over a GBP71.6 million rights issue in order to fund a yard investment programme, repay its debt and strengthen its balance sheet, a process disclosed to the market in May, which facilitated a debt refinancing.

The outgoing CFO's focus will now turn to a hand-over process over the coming month, Lamprell said.

Curin began work at Lamprell at the start of October 2013, when she replaced Frank Nelson, who left role for personal reasons.

Nelson is currently a non-executive director at HICL Infrastructure Company Ltd.

Lamprell shares were Friday quoted up 2.1% at 146.25 pence.
