Laird CFO To Step Down At 2015 AGM

LONDON (Alliance News) - Laird PLC said Monday that Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Silver will be stepping down from the role at next years' annual general meeting after nearly 29 years with the company.

Silver will leave the company upon conclusion of Laird's AGM on May 8, 2015. The company said he will work closely with Chief Executive David Lockwood on the appointment of a successor to ensure a smooth transition.

The outgoing finance head joined Laird in 1989 as group treasurer and corporate development manager, he was appointed to the board as finance director/ CFO in 1994.

"During this time, he has overseen a major transformation at Laird. Jonathan has been an excellent CFO with a strong reputation both within the business and externally," said CEO Lockwood.

"The Board is very grateful to him for the job that he has performed over many years of dedicated service," he added.

Silver said, "I have had a long and fulfilling career at Laird and will be stepping down at the AGM next May with every expectation that the Company will go from strength to strength and realise its full potential."
